About Hazelum McDonald Families of Stoughton, Massachusetts
This website is dedicated to the research of the Andrew Hazelum and Catherine Harris family, the John McDonald and Mary Gray family, and their associated families of Stoughton, Massachusetts. These families inter-married in Ireland and then immigrated to Stoughton, Massachusetts between 1845-1855. The family has been located in the records in Queens/Laois County, Ireland. I started this project by researching the Kelley line in Stoughton, Massachusetts. As I began to compile information I found that they were part of a much larger McDonald line. This McDonald line is tied directly to the Hazelum line. I extracted all possible relevant birth records, death records, and marriage records from the Massachusetts Vitals Archives. The larger family picture came into focus as I pieced the vital information together. Please check back often as I am continually adding new information.
The goal of the website is to promote research and information sharing, facilitate connections between descendants, act as a repository for the conservation of stories, pictures, and documents of the families.
I look forward to hearing from those affiliated with Mary Ann Hazelum and James McDonald, Thomas Hazelum and Mary McDonald, Catherine Hazelum and Matthew Rice, and Martin McDonald and Ann Meyers (Myers.)
***Number One Research Question: Where is the Irish home for these families???*** I also want to thank all of the wonderful descendants I have connected with that have contributed to the success of this project. A special thank you to volunteers, Paula from Holy Sepulchre, Janice Graves from Random Acts of Genealogical Kindness and Scotty Carney from Find A Grave....people that have graciously donated hours of their time to help me. Amazing generosity!

The Hazelum/McDonald family is from Queens now known as Laois County Ireland!!!
